Tried to argue my case but wasn’t even allowed to utter a full sentence, they told me that I wasn’t allowed to open my luggage in public places and that if I didn’t leave immediately I would be thrown out. I was told to immediately go into the bathroom because I was embarrassing the hotel. A manager and security guard quickly appeared, without asking started yelling at me. My room was tiny, I could not even open a suitcase between beds so I went into the hallway to finish packing my bag before leaving, fully dressed, not putting anything outside my bag. Had breakfast, the pricing was inconsistent and the cashier girl was flirting with customers charging them based on how much she seemingly liked them. Needed change to use machine in the hostel and their change machine was broken, was scuffed at and asked to use the supermarket across the street. Beds are super short, I’m not overly tall but covered the full length of the bed. Had lunch, the 20 minute croquet monsieur was expensive and dry as a brick. Called ahead and asked about luggage storage options, was told a price and time limit that was incorrect. Will keep the review concise and summarize due to space.
Stayed at this branch 2x over a one week period and unfortunately it was just one terrible experience after the other. My 16th Generator visit, great brand recognition and marketing but increasingly worse experiences. Unfortunately I booked at the generator at the next city I’m in and I’m expecting it to be just as terrible and it’s prepaid for. This luggage issue has made me leave for the airport hours before I was planning to bc I can’t walk around with my luggage. WTH with all the people who come in here your telling me they can’t afford to get a new one or fix it. They have a big luggage room and it doesn’t take coins so if for some reason your card isn’t working you can’t leave your luggage. But what pissed me off the most is the luggage issue.
They have a restaurant but it’s over priced compared to what you can get anywhere else and to get to the restaurant u have to walk past all the smokers which is so nice. how long should it take to look at a passport, make a key, and pay what’s due! It took 20 mins when it should have been 3-5. The check in line is redic and they have two people working when they could have 4 and it’s so slow when you finally reach them. This place has been the downside of my trip.let’s start with how they charge you for EVERYTHING! Just to rent a towel is 6 euros, not to keep it just to rent it! The usb in my room didn’t work and they were charging 9 euros for an adapter when I was able to get a whole charger for 5 euros down the street.
